Meet the Owner

Thank you for visiting V. Valentine Designs! I'm a Believer, mom, and designer who loves oversized lumbar pillows. When I couldn't find what I was shopping for on the market, I created my own. From there, the vision for V. Valentine Designs was born. 

All pillow covers are handcrafted using natural-fiber fabrics and materials in Virginia, USA. They are made to order, which means every pillow cover is unique and created just for you.  My mother taught me to sew as a young girl, and I still enjoy it, working with beautiful fabrics and seeing the finished product come together. 

More importantly, every pillow has a purpose. V. Valentine Designs will donate 15% of profits to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to honor my sister Vernita, who we lost to suicide in 2019. Through V. Valentine Designs, I want to improve and save lives one pillow at a time.  Please see our Purpose page for more about Vernita's story and our mission.

Vicky was born and raised in The Bronx, New York, and now resides in a suburb of Richmond, Virginia.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master's degree in Interior Design from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has over twenty-five years of experience in commercial interior design, project management, and retail furniture sales.
